Y: The Last Man - The Deluxe Edition Book One

Y: The Last Man - The Deluxe Edition Book One - Brian K. Vaughan, Pia Guerra, José Marzán Jr., Pamela Rambo, Clem Robins

I like Brian K. Vaughan. Post-Apocalyptic stories tend to lose crucial oomph points after the main event has finished up, and 'Y' is no different, but the view of our society if all men suddenly died is alone worth a peak.

I could have done without the monkey sidekick and Yorick's more stupid moments, but Vaughan must have his reasons for making his survivor so hell-bent on getting back to his girlfriend on the other side of the world to the exclusion of all other considerations. I mean, I get it, but you'd think he'd take a little bit of time to come up with a plan. The Amazons were a bit much, too. I was hoping the more methodical villains would get more screen time. Maybe the Amazons were just intended to be funny.

Super entertaining, don't think I'll order the next volume through ILL though.
