The Kid Who Ran For President
I thought I remembered this book: average kid has nerdy friend who puts him up for election, gets the class plastic girl to be his "first girlfriend", etc. I don't remember him winning though. But according to the existence of a sequel he did win. Oh well. This is a book whose quality equals the Help I'm Trapped in ______'s Body!, so don't expect much.
